The members say they support local businesses. So why can't the local businesses support them?

Members of the Ohio and Vicinity Regional Council of Carpenters picketed outside Maui Sands Resort on Tuesday morning, hoping officials will consider them for work at the soon-to-be-open indoor waterpark.

"We live here," said Rich Banks, a representative for the council. "We pay taxes here. Why can't they help the local economy by hiring local workers?"
