It's that time of year again. Time to make promises to yourself and others, most of which will be broken before the end of the month.
For many, the start of a new year means a chance for a clean slate, a chance to take a shot at that diet or kicking a bad habit.
Jeremy Johnston, 26, of Sandusky, wants to be more consumer conscious.
"Because so many jobs have left the area, I will shop more at the local level," he said.
