Bob Latta or Robin Weirauch? Democrat or Republican?
Voters in Huron, Seneca and Sandusky counties decide today in a special election who will represent them in Congress.
Candidates Robin Weirauch, a Democrat, and State Rep. Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, made last minute calls to voters this weekend to ensure they get out to the polls today.
"We're confident, and we're going to keep working hard," Latta campaign manager Matt Parker said Monday. "We're not going to take a single vote for granted."
Polling stations throughout Huron, Sandusky and Seneca counties will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. today. The Wood County Board of Elections will tabulate the final unofficial results for the election. The results of the election likely won't be announced until Wednesday morning.
"The preparations for a special election is generally the same as it is for all elections," said Terry Burton, deputy director for the Wood County Board of Elections. "Obviously countywide elections are more preparation, but other than that it's pretty standard."
