Cooper didn't have a chance to strut his stuff for Best in Show. On the eve of competition, his owners, Elsie and John Francisco, decided not to go.
"We knew that it was going to be an uphill fight to get placed there, and so we just made that decision not to go," John Francisco said. "All you'd have gained was the prestige of winning that show. We had refundable (plane) tickets. We decided, 'Let's save about $2,500-$3,000.'"
