MIDDLE BASS ISLAND

Clean drinking water could be a luxury for some residents living on Middle Bass Island.

A project to expand a local marina could lead to contaminated ground water for island residents, according to local officials.

The Ohio Division of Natural Resources plans to dredge Lonz Marina next summer, but would have to deposit soil on four island sites, some of which are near island homes.
