Officials say a lawsuit filed in federal court was the reason why the Clarion Inn closed last month.

The Clarion Inn, 1119 Sandusky Mall Blvd., closed its doors Sept. 17 after Northwest Ohio Wheelchair Athletes and Michael Miles filed suit against Royal Host Resort Motels in February. The suit alleges that Miles was denied access and enjoyment at the property because the nearly 30-year-old hotel failed to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
