In regard to Playing Games with Gambling, Viewpoint, Aug. 20.

Sandusky and all Ohio cities should get part of the action. Our last three governors have cost this state a lot of money by not legalizing gambling. Like your editorial said, gambling is here. The Ohio Lottery is a big gamble.

Ohio has a beautiful location for casinos with the shoreline of Lake Erie and the Ohio River. But what is Ohio doing, sitting back and letting the money flow to our bordering states and Canada.

Is it possible for our city government and other cities throughout the state to form together and put pressure on the state officials to wake up. If the citizens of Ohio would just boycott the Ohio Lottery for a few days or so, this may wake our state officials. We must unite, we cannot do this individually. This should have been done years ago, the surrounding states are already established. It is a known fact, people will gamble.
