A local hero may soon find himself homeless as Erie MetroParks threatens to terminate the lease on the house he's called home for the last 16 years.

Albert Maynard, 71, first made headlines in 1996 when he helped save a Norwalk couple from a burning house. According to a quote from the Norwalk fire chief, the couple might not have survived if it hadn't been for the heroic actions of Maynard and his brother that February morning.
