Saturday wrapped up the Huron County Fair for 2007, with exhibits released and tents struck today.
The swine barn remained closed to the public Saturday.
It will remain off limits to the public until health officials and veterinarians determine whether flu is making both pigs and humans ill.
A link between the two still hasn’t been established, but fair officials closed the barn to the public as a precaution. Exhibitors were allowed inside, according to the Huron County General Health District.
Type A influenza is rarely transmitted from swine to humans and extended contact with an infected pig is required, according to the health department.
