COLUMBUS

Gov. Ted Strickland is expected to sign a bill that steps up regulation of commercial fishermen who harvest yellow perch and other Lake Erie fish.

Although a Sandusky commercial fisherman wishes the governor would toss the bill back in the water, the head of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources says the bill provides a chance for the state and the industry to "begin anew."
