Convicted arsonist Lynn Holdren moved the court for a release from prison Wednesday.
Holdren was sentenced to nine years in prison for a June 1998 arson. Holdren set fire to his $170,000 Monroe Street home.
After making bond, Holdren fled to California and he was sentenced to six years forbacking into an officer as he tried to pull him over.
Holdren made the request for release on the grounds that he has served six years of a nine-year sentence and has made efforts to be a model inmate and to better himself.
