50 years ago, 1957: Erie Commandery 23, Knights Templar, would mark its annual observance of Easter by attending sunrise services at Calvary Episcopal Church on Sunday Morning.

25 years ago, 1982: The Erie County Health Department would conduct a free immunization for children and health counseling for families.

10 years ago, 1997: The Civic Center in the former Port Clinton Armory would close by the end of summer unless someone comes forward to lease or buy it. Owners Russ and Marty Brown, who purchased and renovated the building primarily for a youth center had run out of financial and physical resources to keep it going.
