Tonight’s program will feature the Buckeye super sprints, modifieds, and Ohio, street and hobby stock cars.
The pit gate opens at 3 p.m. Grandstand admission starts at 4 p.m. — along with the hot lap sessions. Qualifying is at 5:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Adult admission is $12, $10 for seniors, $5 for ages 6-12, free to ages 5 and younger. Pit area admission is $30 for ages 13 and older, $10 for ages 4-12, with a paid adult and free to ages 3 and younger.
The month of May has plenty to offer for Speedway fans. On May 10, the Midwest Supermodified Association and the Main Event Racing Series will have their season opener. Joining these two prestigious touring divisions for next week’s super nationals show will be the Ohio stocks and the hobby stocks.
The super sprints return to action here on May 17, while the modifieds will have a special Sunday program on May 25 that will pay $1,000 to the winner. The Ohio, street stocks and hobby stocks will also be in action.
On May 30, it will be Fan Appreciation Night featuring $1 admission, $1 dollar hot dogs, pop and beer.
Racing will be the Ohio, street and hobby stocks. Finally, May 31 will be the Open Wheel Spectacular featuring the MSA supermodifieds, super sprints and modifieds. Other highlights include the mid-season championships on July 12 for the super sprints, modifieds and stock car divisions. A special show is set for July 16 as the Open Wheel Extravaganza will feature the winged sprint cars taking on the supermodifieds. There is a $38,000 total purse for this show and it will pay $5,000 to win, $1,000 to start. For more information on this event, contact Kevin Ruic at 440-376-3919.
The Hy-Miler supermodified nationals weekend starts with a Fan Appreciation Night on July 24 with $1 dollar admission and $1 dollar hot dogs, pop and beer. July 25 will be the ISMA supermodifieds and the modifieds, who have a 30-lap, $1,000 to win feature. On July 26 the ISMA supermodifieds will cap off the evening with a 100-lap feature. The modifieds will have a 50-lap feature paying $1,000 to win, $400 to start.
The MSA Supermodifieds headline the Sept. 6 show which is championship night for the modifieds, and Ohio, street and hobby stocks.
