A Lorain man was arrested Friday after he allegedly forced his way into an ex-girlfriend’s home and used child support payments as an excuse to sexually assault her.
Jesse Mincey, 29, was charged with gross sexual imposition, burglary and domestic violence.
At about 4 a.m. Friday, the mother of Mincey’s child returned to her Florence Township home in the 7600 block of Ohio 60, according to an Erie County deputy’s report.
Mincey soon began calling and texting the woman. Even though she told him not to come over, Mincey showed up, saying he’d continue to call her until she answered the door, the report said.
Mincey continued calling, and after a while the woman gave up and answered her door. She told Mincey to stop calling, leave her alone and get off her property, the report said.
At that point, the woman slammed the door and returned to bed. Mincey allegedly prevented the door from closing all the way and entered the home without permission.
Mincey made his way to the woman’s bed, where he allegedly put his hand down her pants and groped her, the report said.
The woman kicked him off her, prompting Mincey to lie down with their daughter briefly. But he soon returned to the bed and began trying to kiss the woman, despite her protests.
“(The woman) stated that with each rejection, Jesse became increasingly more aggressive,” the report stated.
Mincey pinned the woman’s wrists down and again tried to kiss her, according to the report.
“I pay child support, I can do whatever I want,” Mincey allegedly said.
Only when the woman threatened to punch him did Mincey give up and leave the home, the report said. When deputies later arrested Mincey, he “vehemently denied” the allegations.
Mincey remains in the Erie County jail without bond.
