Justin Green, 23, 800 block W. Market St., and Kazerick Sanders, 19, 1500 block Brown St., were charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct intoxicated and two counts criminal damaging. A 16-year-old boy, 1100 block First St., was charged with criminal mischief, underage consumption, curfew violation and two counts criminal damaging.
Residents of a Lindsley Street home and a Campbell Street home called police at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday after their front windows were vandalized, according to a police report. A ceramic owl had been thrown through one home’s window, and a potted plant had shattered the second home’s window, the report said.
Officers noted a distinct shoe tread pattern in the snow at each house.
A short time later, Green, Sanders and the boy were stopped by Perkins police in the Kroger parking lot, the report said.
The men and boy denied involvement, but Sanders’ and Green’s shoes allegedly matched the prints found at both homes.
Firelands Regional Medical Center workers later contacted police and said the trio had caused a disturbance earlier at the hospital. They allegedly flashed hand gestures inside the building, then rode the parking garage elevator to the top floor, where they scattered numerous informational pamphlets, the report said.
The boy was taken to the Erie County Detention Home, and the two men were released to a sober person.
