50 years ago, 1963: A Sandusky fishing company official said he and several others were threatened with the loss of their boats and nets if they failed to keep their catch under 2,000 pounds per boat. The forced attempt to limit the size of catches was an effort to keep the bottom from falling out of the fish market.
25 years ago, 1988: Perkins High School science research team brought home the Outstanding High School award for the highest percentage of superior rated projects at the Ohio Academy of Science for the sixth consecutive year.
10 years ago, 2003: More than 350 Rotary International members and spouses gathered at the Radisson Inn for the group's annual district meeting. Following the banquet, the Rotarians enjoyed music by Phil Dirt and the Dozers.
