Feud over 'M-A-S-H' hot dog eatery goes to court

Associated Press • Sep 29, 2012 at 6:21 AM

Prosecutors said Friday that Tony Packo III and a company controller worked together to steal from the Toledo restaurant chain over a four-year period.

Defense attorneys say the charges are untrue and stem from a family feud over control of the restaurant and its hot dog sauce sold in food stores around the country.

Actor Jamie Farr made Tony Packo's famous in the 1970s when he portrayed a homesick U.S. soldier in the Korean War who longed for Packo's hot dogs.

The restaurant chain was sold this year after a yearlong battle over ownership.
