(UPDATED WITH VIDEO) Perkins and Sandusky firefighters teamed up to extinguish a fire occurring inside a Rods Drive home Monday night.

At about 7 p.m., a neighbor saw flames shooting out of the home's attic.

Flames crawled from the attic and trickled their way onto the roof, where the fire engulfed a small section atop the home.

Just then, the neighbor sprinted about 100 feet to inform a family of three to exit immediately.

Inside the home at the time was Gio Spadaro, his wife, Jackie, and their 1-year-old daughter, Giana.

"We just ran out of the house," Gio said as he watched firefighters enter and exit his home. "All I was thinking was to get everyone out of the house."

No one suffered any injuries, however, firefighters couldn't pinpoint what the fire destroyed or damaged.

Township fire officials will continue investigating the fire in the coming days, Perkins fire Lt. Brent Bronner said.
