Shooting suspect has lengthy criminal record

Mark Everett most likely wanted to unwind and drink a few beverages with his friends in 1990.

Little did the Sandusky resident realize — on a brisk, February night — that he would be enjoying his last ever night out.

Everett, 27, 1400 block E. Farwell St., died after Kevin Randleman, 50, 900 block W. Adams St., shot and killed him.

The death came 21 years before Randleman allegedly shot Sandusky police Officer Andrew Dunn around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Dunn died about an hour and a half later.

No charges have been assessed to Randleman yet, and no murder conviction stuck to him two-plus decades ago.

Sandusky police charged Randleman with aggravated murder, voluntary manslaughter and murder.

A jury acquitted Randleman of the charges nine months later, however, after a unanimous decision could not be reached.
