LETTER: Believe Sams, Farrar

Commentary • Apr 30, 2010 at 1:56 AM

I was born, raised and educated in Sandusky. I am 67, so I've seen a lot of change over that time period. One thing I just don't recall are gangs. My homestead was on East Parish Street between Milan and Cleveland roads, before the overpass.

If acting police chief Sams says there is a problem, I am inclined to take him at his word. No offense to acting city manager Icsman, but I would have a problem not trusting the police chief, especially when the community seems to. As for the sparing between city commissioners Kim Nuesse and Julie Farrar, I'll take Julie Farrars' word any time. Commissioner Nuesse hasn't been here long enough to have a favorite coffee shop, that is unless Matt Westerhold pick one for her.

Bottom line, safety service, police and fire departments are essential, and should be first to protect so that they may protect the citizens of Sandusky.
