Woman recovering after arm amputated, reattached

After having one arm amputated and another pinched in a haybine, Annie Maczuga is recovering.

She was released from the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland earlier this week and is back home about two weeks after the farming incident.

Surgeons reattached her left arm, and she’ll likely regain the use of both arms with therapy, said Joe Jones, a family friend who keeps horses in Maczuga’s barn. 

But she’s only begun to overcome the emotional trauma of her horrifying ordeal.
