• John C. Hemmer, 55, of Sandusky, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, in Erie County Care Facility, Huron, after an extended illness. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, where further arrangements are pending.

Brenda R. "G-Mama" Stookey, 66, of Vickery, was guided by angels as she went home to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, Dec. 18, 2011, at her sister's home in Bellevue, surrounded by her family, after a two-year battle with cancer.

Sherry A. (Garlock) Lewis, 57, of Vickery, passed away early Wednesday morning, Sept. 28, 2011, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 11, 1954, to Richard and Katherine (Pepitone) Garlock Sr. She worked as a housekeeper for Firelands Regional Medical Center for 15 years. She loved playing Bingo, enjoyed being outdoors and camping.

John "Jay" Miller Jr., 24, of Vickery, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Aug. 17, 2011, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 4, 1987, in Cleveland, and was a 2007 graduate of Margaretta High School. He received his State Tested Nurses Aide License and was training to become a paramedic. He was employed as a trainer at African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton.
