FIT CHALLENGE: Keegan finds motivation in "Rocky"

Hello again,
The first month is over and it was successful! I managed to drop 23 pounds. I knew the first month would be easy to lose weight since I was at the highest weight I could imagine and the concept of working out was fresh and new.
This month, I plan on losing 15 pounds. This will be a lot harder because the first wave of weight is gone and I'm a little banged up right now. My surgically repaired knee is aching and sometimes gives out.
My personal trainer Ken Cutcher of Anytime Fitness has helped me work around it, but he has also incorporated some exercises to help strengthen and stabilize it.
I have to be able to distinguish between an injury or a pain so I do not hurt myself. This is one of the reasons I want to drop the weight fast to take the extra strain off my knee.
After this next wave of weight, I plan on cutting down on the speed of weight loss and start losing gradually and healthy. I was talking with another FIT Challenge participant and we discussed that this contest is not a sprint but a marathon.
I want to take this time to wish the other two participants good luck. I can say they both were in good spirits when I spoke with them at our photo shoot Monday. Not only does losing weight make us feel better physically, but it does wonders for our spirits.
This week, all the "Rocky" movies are on TV. What motivation. All you people out there reading this can't say Rocky didn't make you want to go and work out. My wife Tish made the Rocky theme song her ring tone for when I call her. YO Tish! Thanks for the support.

Try wearing a heart rate monitor and listen to the Rocky sound track. See what your HR gets up to.
