Labor Day weekend fatality free, but keeps cops busy

Labor Day weekend was busy for area law enforcement, but no major incidents were reported. From Sept. 3-6, there were no fatalities or serious crashes in the area, according to law enforcement data.

5:47 p.m. -- 1400 block Pearl St., rottweiler attacked dog.

6:33 p.m. -- Venice Road, drunken man Douglas Arnold sleeping on ground in front of area restaurant. He had injuries to face and arms, told police he fell off his bike and was hit by a vehicle. Sandusky fire took him to the hospital.

CORRECTION

Codey L. Howard, 18, and Kyle E. Wallace, 27, were not charged for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. Cole Cooley was not charged with disorderly conduct. A police blotter item in Sunday's Register incorrectly attributed charges to these individuals because of a reporter's error.
