REPORTERS NOTEBOOK: Cops rescue troubled tabby

Sandusky police helped out a tabby in trouble Monday morning.

Police found an orange feline on the 1600 block of Larchmont Drive with its head stuck in a Chunky Clam Chowder soup can.

The can was removed and the cat ran from the area relatively unscathed.

Cedar Fair seeks Kinzel successor

Cedar Fair says it has launched the hunt for a new CEO to replace Dick Kinzel, 70, who has run the company since 1986.

Tuesday, Kinzel said his employment agreement ends on Jan. 2, 2012, and Cedar Fair's board is working to find a successor.

Roller coaster collision injures 10

Authorities say 10 people have been taken to hospitals after suffering minor injuries in a rollercoaster accident at Knott's Berry Farm in Orange County.

Fire Authority Capt. Greg McKeown says the accident happened Thursday night on the Pony Express.

Cedar Fair to resume paying investors

 

On the heels of a successful summer, Cedar Fair has resumed paying cash dividends to investors.

The company announced Tuesday it will pay 25 cents per share on Dec. 15 to investors who, by Dec. 3, are limited partner unit holders of record.
