Family mourns Fremont-area man shot by deputies; protest planned

FREMONT

Family and friends of Bryan Jones have used strong words to condemn Sandusky County Sheriff's deputies' shooting of the 26-year-old man on July 11.

Now they plan to take their message to the streets of Fremont.

Perkins dispatchers to work alongside Sandusky, Erie County dispatchers

PERKINS TWP.

The message came in loud and clear.

Sheriff Terry Lyons announced Perkins Township will relocate its dispatch operations from the police station on Milan Road to the county's office on Columbus Avenue.

Perkins dispatchers, who handle police and fire 911 calls, will work beside Sandusky and Erie County dispatchers.
