Perkins makes a final plea

Perkins voters will make a decision next week that could change the shape of the township's school district for decades to come.

With a new 4.98-mill levy, the district would build a new K-12 campus expected to cost at least $100 million. Revenue from the levy would also secure the school district's financial future for the next several years, school leaders said.
