Alzheimer's research update 2018 | Sandusky Register On the Alzheimer's Association's website there is an article titles "Sprint for Discovery: New Dementia and Cardiovascular Findings." It's about a clinical trial that involved a large number of older adults with high blood pressure. This trial "examined whether treating to lower blood pressure would reduce the risk for developing dementia and/or Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), and reduce the total volume of white matter lesions, as shown via an MRI." The good news is that the findings offer a glimmer of hope for preventing dementia.
