Cleanups take time | Sandusky Register Officials always knew stepped-up code enforcement in the city of Sandusky would not be easy. After years of neglecting enforcement dozens of properties were left in disrepair, dilapidated or otherwise extreme eyesores to neighbors and to passersby. Too many properties had become uninhabitable, and dangerous — abandoned by owners and in need of a wrecking ball.
