EHOVE hires new treasurer

Larry Hanneman retiring after more than 25 years

EHOVE Career Center hired a replacement Wednesday for its departing longtime treasurer. Brad Deleruyelle, current treasurer of Pandora-Gilboa Schools, near Findlay, will begin Aug. 1, according to his new twoyear contract with the career center. His salary will be $97,000 a year.

Larry Hanneman, who has been EHOVE’s treasurer for more than 25 years, will officially retire from education July 31. Hanneman announced his retirement at the end of last year, effective Dec. 31, and was EHOVE’s interim treasurer while officials searched for a replacement.

Almost 20 people applied for the vacant position, EHOVE board president Paul Lockwood said. Board members interviewed three candidates with some help from North Point Educational Service Center.

“(Deleruyelle) brings a lot of experience and technology skills with him, and we thought he would be a great fit for who we are,” Lockwood said. “He has some big shoes to fill, no doubt, but we certainly think he’s capable of it”

Deleruyelle has been with Pandora-Gilboa Schools since 2007. He also worked as treasurer of Continental Schools, in the same county, from 2005 to 2007.

He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Toledo and his master’s degree from the University of Findlay.

EHOVE’s strong reputation and friendly staff attracted Deleruyelle to the job, he said. “My father is from the Sandusky area, so the familiar location was another piece of the puzzle,” Deleruyelle said.” I’m looking forward to working with some great people, keeping things running smoothly and being as transparent as possible to our taxpayers”
