Kim Nuesse's long battle to reclaim her job as Sandusky police chief has ended - at least for now.
Retired Judge James Sherck decided Tuesday that Nuesse should be removed from her position as police chief.
If Kim Nuesse wins an appeal later this month, she'll be Sandusky's next police chief.
City officials said Monday night they have no plans to appeal Nuesse's reinstatement to the police department's top spot.
With former city manager Matt Kline ousted, the person who had a problem with Nuesse is no longer at the helm, interim city manager Don Icsman said.
Oh, how things have changed.
Just three months after voting the proposal down, city commissioners on Monday voted 4-3 to hire the International City/County Management Association to analyze the efficiency of Sandusky's police and fire departments.
