The hits just keep coming. Five Sandusky employees received layoff notices Thursday, and city leaders said they'll be laying off a sixth employee next week. That would bring Sandusky's total layoffs this year to about 25.

SANDUSKY A Sandusky man who stabbed his girlfriend was sentenced Thursday to one year in prison as part of a plea agreement.

Bintie A. Morris, 85, of Sandusky passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010, in Admirals Point Nursing Center, Huron.

SANDUSKY A toddler remains in fair condition after being taken by medical helicopter from Firelands Regional Medical Center after a three-vehicle crash near W. Perkins Avenue and Caldwell Street earlier this week.

Robert "Joel" Lucal, 66, of Sandusky died Wednesday, June 2, 2010, in Firelands Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

SANDUSKY A toddler remained in fair condition Wednesday at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo following a three-vehicle crash Tuesday at West Perkins Avenue and Caldwell Street. Stanley Griffin, 2, was flown to the hospital after the crash and continues to recover.
