No better and no worse. That's the picture the city's finances painted in April, with income tax revenues -- the main driving economic force -- still down 10.3 percent. Although nationally the United States added 290,000 jobs in April, and has added jobs four straight months, the improvement hasn't trickled down to Sandusky.

SANDUSKY The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for western Erie County and Eastern Sandusky County until 6:15 p.m. The doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capabble of producing a tornado. The storm was located near Clyde and is moving east at 45 mph.

Leonard L. Miller, 88, of Sandusky passed away late Monday afternoon, May 10, 2010, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after an illness.

Alex Webb removes the black bandana from around his neck, revealing a red scar at the base of his throat. The scabs from the surgery are nearly healed, but the scar will endure, forever reminding Webb of the two decades he relied on a breathing tube to live. The tube came out April 19, eight days shy of Webb's 21st birthday.

Leonard Matarese knows he can save the city money. Whether Sandusky will use his organization and listen to its suggestions is another matter.

Cedar Point is still opening Saturday, but its new Shoot the Rapids attraction won't be along for the ride. Engineering problems with the ride -- the boats the passengers ride in were too long and didn't fit the flume -- forced the park to delay the ride's debut by two weeks.
