A Sandusky man and woman remain in jail on $10,000 bond each for leaving their 2-month-old infant home alone while they went out and panhandled, according to police.
Kimberly Whitcomb, 20, and Maurice Bonton, 29, are both scheduled for a Feb. 9 pretrial hearing on charges of child endangering and panhandling.
Police arrested the pair Jan. 13 for panhandling outside a Columbus Avenue bar. About 16 hours after they'd been sitting in jail, Whitcomb told jailers she had left her infant, Denver Bonton, home alone at their Perry Street duplex.
Officers went to the home and found the baby sitting in a car seat, her diaper soiled. County social workers took custody of the child.

to Sandusky EXpat: Why not see about taking the child for them. You sound like you would be a GREAT parent. There has to be some baby out there that could benefit from your love and honor.
These two obviously are NOT great parents. It has always amazed me how the most idiotic people have offspring and just neglect them. They could care less about the welfare, feeding and loving of the children they bring into this world. So we end up with an entire new crop of people just like them who "begat" them to begin with. All children learn as they see. It makes me sick to see what these people did,
I hope they NEVER get out because they will just do it again. They will have another child and disrepect that one as they did this one again and again. It will never stop.
I hope they rot in jail. I hope they never get that baby back and I hope they don't produce any more.
