Sandusky

A fire blazing through a Lawrence Street home late Friday night was no accident.

Glinda Branham, 44, 1800 block Superior St., was charged with aggravated arson and disorderly conduct for setting fire to a home on 230 Lawrence St.

Branham admitted, by screaming repeatedly at Sandusky Police officers, she started the fire. Branham also shouted profanities toward officers.

As of Saturday night, Branham is in the Erie County Jail. A bail amount hasn't been announced yet.

No injuries were reported during the fire but portions of the home were minimally damaged, Sandusky firefighters said.

Sandusky firefighters said the blaze burned up a mattress inside the house, along with parts of the house itself.

i have spoken to the occupant personally, and alcoholism and depression played a BIG part here, both of them, including Glinda, need your good thoughts and/or prayers here. Thank God they both survived along with that sweet puppy of theirs and hopefully she will get the help and discipline she needs to recover-- my thoughts are with them both.

I doubt that the Supreme Being even bothers to listem to the prayers from buff. I have been following the Plain Dealer and the stories about Bill Mason. Either Bill Mason has friends in high places in the FBI or the FBI is taking their time to make sure any charges against Mason will stick. If Bill Mason is charged, you can be sure he will take singing lessons from a canary and implicate a few from Erie County.

Buff - You mean to tell me you actually pray?  As all knowing as you are I would think your intelligence is all you need to survive in this world.  After all it is you who "provides helpfull, legal information" and will not go away unless you want to.  RIGHT buffoon?

Buff - keep those peepers of yours open on the back of your head.  Right now there are people in a dark colored car sitting by your window watching you.

You know I can't stand you.................RIGHT buffoon?!?!?!?

I was just wondering if buff observed any strange people sitting in a dark colored car across the street doing surveillance on buff's house?

My thoughts and prayers for these people in their time of need.  That's all I can offer.

I was just wondering why sanproud thinks that cops are forbidden from sitting in a dark parking lot across the street doing surveillance on a house?  Especially one that is on fire due to "suspicious" circumstances.

Columbus Ave don't take up so much time in your day, worrying yourself about me donating. Don't worry I will be donating to help them get back on their feet. My childhood home caught fire a few years ago, we lost everything. This community was truly a blessing in helping my family out. So of course when I see someone else in need, I will with out a doubt help. You on the other hand should think about yourself giving a donation. Then again you most likely won't, it would be too much like right!!!

@ HughJass, Thanks for clarifying how fire started, and why cops were there. Of course everything looked alot worse than what it really was. The only update SR added to the story was "fire burned up a mattress in the house, as well as part of the house itself". SR sure does give us great updates! A blind man would know the fire burned part of the house!

SanProud, these people lost thier belongings because the occupants girlfriend got pissed off and lit the mattress on fire to get his attention.  It wasn't an accident.  In fact, the girlfriend was arrested at the scene, hence the cops being there.  This is an important fact the Ragister neglected to report.

Wow, I seen all the fire trucks and streets blocked off on my way home. I turned around because of course I couldn't get through. Low and behold who do I see, the undercover cops parked in a dark parking lot across the street. Seriously, come on. These people may have just lost everything they own, and you mean to tell me that gives you an opportunity to sit back and scope out their house!!! While Sandusky's Finest is out seeing what kind of crap they can get into, I'm going to pray that everyone made it out the house fire alive and well. God Bless that family in their time of need!!!
