JUST IN: Shoot the Rapids launch delayed two weeks

Want to ride the new Cedar Point ride, Shoot the Rapids?

You'll have to wait a little longer.

Cedar Point announced today that the launch of the ride has been delayed from Saturday to May 29 in order to provide additional time to "complete inspections and final testing" for the ride.

A media preview set for Friday has also been canceled.
