The Erie County Dog Pound has these dogs available for adoption:
Domino -- Female border collie mix, 2 years old. Housebroken, very sweet and mellow, great with kids and other dogs. Available now.
Conway -- Male labrador mix, 4 years old. Housebroken, very outgoing, loves to play fetch. Available now.
Nick -- Large neutered male, 3 years old. Eager to please and well mannered. Available at 12:54 p.m. Thursday.
Thunder -- Large male mastiff mix, 1 1/2 years old. Housebroken, big happy dog who is treat-motivated and eager to learn. Available now.
Strom -- Male walker hound, 2 years old. Housebroken, a happy, goofy, social guy. Available now.
Wilma -- Female terrier mix, 1 year old. Housebroken, very cuddly. Available at 3:45 p.m. Friday.
Betty -- Female lab mix, 1 year old. She is a housebroken, playful pup. Available at 3:45 p.m. Friday.
Mask -- Neutered male shepherd mix. Housebroken, very quiet and a little shy. Available now.
The Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave., Perkins Township, is open 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Call 419-627-7607. Adopting a dog costs $30.

The Erie County Humane Society features these cats available for adoption:
Spicy -- 4-month-old kitten who loves children and has an extra loud purr.
Hailey -- Sweet 1-year-old kitty who wants to be a lap cat.
Charlie -- Quiet, 2-year-old boy who likes other cats.
Donald -- A big, handsome guy whose front paws are de-clawed.
Buddy -- Super playful tiger-and-white fellow who likes kids, dogs and other cats.
The Humane Society is located at 1911 Superior St., Sandusky. Adoption hours are 1-6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Normal adoption fees are: Cats/kittens $60, but fees are waived for cats 3 years old or older. Dogs/puppies adoption fees vary. The fees include spaying/neutering and first shots if the kitten is at least 3 months old. The phone number is 419-626-6220.
