PORT CLINTON Port Clinton is once again struggling to get the funding to put on its annual July 4 fireworks show. Right now the city has $4,165 in the bank for the annual fireworks display that costs $7,000.

Exactly, Taxpayer.
People out of work, losing their homes and the liberals would take TAX MONEY and blow it up into thin air. Are we surprised about the way they think considering their Bi-polar logic?

I commend the city of PC for trying to save their fireworks show and trying to generate funds by getting DONATIONS. I will donate to their cause and will drive to PC so I can see a good display. It is NOT free. I never realized the cost involved to putting on a professional Class B fireworks show. You have to purchase insurance because some crybaby will sue their ears were hurt by the noise. You must hire a professional blaster certified by the state or BATF to set them up and light them off. You have to obtain permission from the federal government and get a one time permit. You have to spend a lot of MONEY for a good assortment of shells and pay for the haz-mat charge for shipping explosives to the venue and their temporary storage. $7K will not produce a spectacular show, but it is great PC is trying to host honor to the birthday to our great nation. I hope they can get $10K for this event without anyone dipping into the money for their own excuse for expenses. A lot of things have changed over the years. There is more liability, corruption and more liberal crybabies wanting to burn the flag of the United States instead of celebrating our great nation and the freedom it provides. Just take a walk through Arlington or even or own OVH to see those who gave the MOST.
