The Mailbag: What's up with the candidates for Perkins Board of Education?
Nov 03
2011
Q: Who were the citizens who also applied to the Perkins Board of Education when John Reddaway resigned? Dr. Brad Mitchel, who was appointed, is up for reelection. Is anyone else up for reelection? –Lynn in Perkins Township
A: Lynn, there's three candidates running for three seats on the Perkins Board of Education. Superintendent Jim Gunner told me Dr. Mitchel replaced Reddaway this past summer, and one of two others who applied for that seat, Andrew Carroll, is running for a position. The third school board candidate, Matthew Kosior, is indeed a current member seeking another term.

Does anyone wonder why the Sandusky Register made no mention of the Perkins Board Of Education candidates? Yet they spent a lot of time going after the present Perkins Fiscal Officer? The answer is simple. This newspaper has an agenda to remove her from office.
The Register's Decision 2011 section focused on Sandusky's Board Of Education candidates, Sandusky's Commissioner candidates and State Issue 2. Yet no mention of Perkins Board Of Education candidates and plenty of news about the Perkins School District. You may want to know why no mention of Perkins School Board candidates but plenty about the Perkins Fiscal Officer race. I already know why.

The Sandusky Register claims to be the "Best Newspaper In Ohio" yet other newspapers claim the same thing. Google "best newspaper in Ohio" and see the results of many newspapers making the same claim. Don't pay much attention to what the Register writes, pay attention to what they do not write, like HIDING THE FACTS of a story. A good and honest newspaper will present all of the facts, not some "FEEL GOOD" news article that withholds some very important information to get their agendas across to discredit good people.
William Randolph Hearst would be proud of the Sandusky Register and of its yellow journalism.

little or no legitimate well-researched news and instead uses eye-catching headlines to sell more newspapers.[1] Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism.[1] By extension "Yellow journalism" is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion.
scare headlines in huge print, often of minor news
lavish use of pictures, or imaginary drawings
use of faked interviews, misleading headlines, pseudo-science, and a parade of false learning from so-called experts

Wish we knew more about Andrew Carroll. Does he think like the current BOA?
