I'm sad to say that I won't vote for the levy. I've been pretty supportive of the district over the years, but I think that they are out of touch with what is happening in this community economically. I also think that there are some big internal matters like drug use and discipline that need to be strongly addressed before I will vote yes.

With all this new technology, with Online Teachers, we could have home learning parties. Heck, seems parents are doing all the teaching anyway, at home with whats called homework. We could save on busing, electric, gas, food, and pay these parents half what the teachers earn $22.50 per hour. It would be something like Block learning. The current schools system does not include drug testing, the current welfare does not include drug testing, both on tax payer money, why do we have to subject our children to this, these people making a living selling this junk, and the ones who bust these junk pushers or the only people who do not want drug testing in these areas? We all know the biggest places for drug pushing besides street corners is schools. And when some child dies, no one wants to stand up and take blame for not testing.

I can't believe these people actually think we are going to vote yes on this levy! They can spin this however they want. It will never pass! What a bunch of clowns!

With the schools system tied in through computer technology at the high school and junior high why does the school need a new elaborated building. Kids do not have to come to school with this new technology. A teacher can access 100 or more students from their computer to the kids anywhere in the world like their home. Why do we need this physical structure of a school anymore? The cost savings is enormous.
Less teachers needed to interact with more stuidents.
Less physical space needed to house these students.
Less staff needed for maintanance, discipline , administration.
No need to provide any meal services.
If the Perkins school system truely wants to embrace technology why are we asking the taxpayers to pay for a new building which promotes an old style of education? Is this push for technology just a passing fad?
