Two Kentucky teenagers are charged with a Sunday morning burglary at Baywinds Athletic Club.
The club’s owner, Carl Heuckroth, 78, fought off 19-year-old Jesus Rodriquez as the youth attempted to get away after stealing a safe and a cash register from the business.
Rodriquez rolled his Ford Expedition onto its hood as he fled and police arrested him on charges of burglary and robbery.
Police also arrested a 16-year-old girl for burglary and complicity.
Rodriquez told police the two had gone to the parking lot to make out when he found the door open and stole the safe and cash register.
