Thelma S. Benadom, 86, of Oak Harbor, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006 in Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton.
She was born Aug. 17, 1920, in Oak Harbor, the daughter of Charles and Sophia Baumgartner. She married Clayton A. Benadom on Aug. 11, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1999. Mrs. Benadom began working by house cleaning for Dr. Gibson. She then worked at Oak Harbor Bakery, J. Weller Co. and Mulligan Appliance.
She then worked for the National Bank of Oak Harbor for 32 years, rising to the position of assistant vice president, retiring in 1990. She loved to play cards, bowl and crochet.
She enjoyed the love of animals especially her special pets. She was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers fan.
Surviving is her son, James (Nancy) Benadom of Oak Harbor; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clayton A. Benadom; sister, Irma Baumgartner; and brothers, Carl Baumgartner and Howard Baumgartner.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Saturday in Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where services will be 1 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. The Rev. David Voll will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Ottawa County.
