Mary Margaret Krupp, 87, of Lakeside-Marblehead, formerly of Port Clinton, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, in Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton.
She was born May 28, 1919, the daughter of Daniel and Alvina (Bredbeck) Gepfert. On June 28, 1941, she married Kenneth K. Krupp ,and he preceded her in death April 16, 1991. Her husband, Kenneth, owned and operated the Port Clinton Herald, now the Port Clinton News Herald, for more than 50 years, along with his two brothers, Walter and Richard Krupp, who are both now deceased. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, Port Clinton Yacht Club, Ladies of the Elks, Port Clinton Lodge 1718, P.E.O., Port Clinton, and several bridge clubs. Her hobbies included crocheting, needlepoint and ceramics. She was an avid book reader, and she loved to travel.
Surviving are her sons, John K. Krupp of Sandusky and Daniel (Diane) Krupp of Evansville, Ind.; daughter, Susan (David) Markle of Maumee, Ohio; grandchildren, Mary (Pat Shuff) DeBauche, Katharine (Patrick) Conley, Jeffrey (Christine) Krupp and William (Deb) Krupp; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Shuff, Kenneth Shuff, Tabitha Krupp, Zoe Krupp and Alex Krupp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; and granddaughter, Laura Krupp.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, with the family being present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. in Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, with Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
