Miss Marion E. Davies, 77, of Brick, N.J., formerly of Kearny, N.J., died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, in Centraste Medical Center, Freehold, N.J.
Miss Davies was born in Kearny, where she lived most of her life. She also lived in Totowa, N.J. and Milan, Ohio, before moving to Brick six months ago. She retired 19 years ago, after 37 years as the executive secretary to the general manager of Hyatt Roller Bearing in Harrison and later, with former New Departure-Hyatt Bearing Division of GM in Sandusky.
Predeceased by her sisters, Helen O'Mara and Mildred McCarthy.
She will be sadly missed for her warmth and generosity by her family and friends, especially her nephews, Dennis O'Mara and John (Cindy) McCarthy, nieces, Barbara (Greg) Colley and Marilyn (Holger) Miller; and grandnieces and nephews, Jacquiline and Gregory Colley and Tyler and Victoria Miller.
Services will be 9 a.m. Monday in Edward T. Reid Home for Funerals, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, where mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church in Kearny.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Milan Historical Museum, Inc., 10 N. Edison Drive, Milan, OH 44846, where she enjoyed working as a volunteer, would be appreciated.
