Elizabeth V. (Wargo) Chubak, 96, of Huron, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born June 9, 1910, and lived most of her life in Huron. She was a homemaker and an accomplished Hungarian cook and baker. She loved spending time in her flower garden. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Lynn) Chubak, James (Francine) Chubak, Margie (John) Bowers, all of Huron and Joanne Saunders of Sandusky; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Julia Rudisill of Missouri; and a brother, Paul (Ellen) Wargo of Huron.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Chubak in 1972; her parents, James F. and Mary (Kuhar) Wargo; four sisters, Annie Bailey, Rosella Szekely, Mary Kristoff and Ethel Lagando; two brothers, James Wargo and Louis Vargo.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron, with the Rev. Jeffery Sikorski officiating. Burial will be in McMillen Cemetery, Huron.
