Marjorie M. Knupke, 81, of Perrysburg, Ohio, entered the Father's Kingdom, Dec. 6, 2006, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
Marge was born July 6, 1925 in Sandusky, to Edward and Lillian (Harpel) Hemmer and lived in Toledo since the end of World War II. She was a 1943 graduate of Sandusky High School where she was a member of the band. Marge was employed as an executive secretary for many years until her retirement. Marge attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Maumee, Ohio, since 1960 and served several terms as treasurer. She was a 25-year member of Parents without Partners in Toledo and served on many chapter, regional, zone and international board of directors during this time. She was also a member of Anthony Wayne Garden Club. She enjoyed traveling, knitting and spending time with her family.
Marge is survived by her daughter, Anne (Ted) Motter; son, Paul (Anne) Knupke; and six grandchildren, A.J. (Catrina), Ryan, Brett, Sarah (Laszlo), Laura (Greg), and Karen (Joe); and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; brother, James Kent; and grandson, Paul Jr.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday in Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 112 E. Wayne St., Maumee. Interment will be Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, Ohio.
