Richard E. Reitz, 66, of Bellevue, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, in his home.
Dick was born Sept. 15, 1940 in Bellevue to Clifton and Marjorie (Crosby) Reitz, now deceased. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1958 and then Tiffin University in 1962. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ; and had been the treasurer of the congregation. Dick was a life member of Bellevue Elks, Eagles and Club Amerital. He had also been on the Elks Bowling team and Bellevue Jaycees member.
Dick was the owner of Reitz Electric in Bellevue and Richard E. Reitz CPA accounting business.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta (McCurdy) Reitz, whom he married Sept. 14, 1963; three daughters, Tammy Reitz of Columbus, Ohio, Diane (Vincent) DeBlase of Bellevue and Deborah (Douglas) McDougall of Port Clinton; four grandchildren, Joe and Hannah DeBlase and Miranda and Oliva McDougall; and two sisters, Marcia (Russell) Herner and Mary Elizabeth (Dick) Frieg, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Reitz.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday in Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, with Elks services at 2 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Paul United Church of Christ, Kilbourne Street, Bellevue. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
