Marie H. (Wobser) Weyer, age 91, of 325 Adams St., Castalia, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 5, 2006, in the Providence Care Center of Sandusky after an extended illness.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1915, in Sandusky, and was a 1933 graduate of Margaretta High School. She had been employed with the former Philco Corp., the former Vogel's, the Castalia Trout Club and Margaretta Schools. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Weyer is survived by four sons, Dale (Betty) Weyer of Monroeville, Ohio, Milton "Bud" (Carol) Weyer Jr. and Eugene "Butch" (Barb) Weyer, both of Castalia, and Ronald (Sandy) Weyer of Valley City, Utah; 11 grandchildren, Dale "Skip" Weyer Jr., Tim Weyer and Charlie Weyer, all of Castalia, Cindy Canterbury of Collins, Ohio, Milt "Buzz" Weyer III of Milan, Michelle Chenelle of LaSalle, Ontario, LeeAnn Madsen of Salt Lake City, Utah, LouAnn Weyer of Castle Rock, Colo., Elizabeth "Beth" Hubans of Kenosha, Wis., Becky and Beverly Weyer, both of Castalia, and three step-grandchildren, Al Weyer of Clyde, Cheryl Farrell of Sandusky, and Brian Howard of Apache Junction, Ariz.; one brother, Alvin Wobser of Castalia; two sisters-in-law, Edna Weyer of Castalia and Dorothy Moltz of Norwalk; great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton E. Weyer Sr. in 1980; parents, Henry W.F. and Mary (Wilken) Wobser; three brothers, Albert, Henry, and Carl Wobser; and two sisters, Adeline Scherz and Wilhamina Wobser in infancy.

Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Friday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky, with the Rev. Ken Lill officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
