Paul C. Miller, 95, of Novelty, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at his home.

Paul was born Aug. 10, 1914, in Toledo to William F. and Florence (Raabe) Miller. He graduated from Libby High School in Toledo and attended Capital University in Columbus. He married Kathryn Luebben in Toledo in 1948.

Paul worked at Hilfinger Corp., Toledo Window Cleaning Co., and Clyde Porcelain Steel (now Whirlpool Corp.), but dedicated most of his working life at Johnson Rubber Company in Middlefield, Ohio. Paul became president and CEO of Johnson Rubber/Duramax Companies. He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cleveland and was a founding member of Advent Lutheran Church in Solon, Ohio. He actively supported the Geauga Park District, the Geauga (Heather Hill) YMCA, Geauga Community Hospital, The American Cancer Society and Hiram College. He was a member of Chagrin Valley Country Club for more than 50 years, Pine Lake Trout Club, the Rubber Manufacturer's Association and Association of Ohio Commodores. Paul was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling and golf. Recently, he made many new friends walking at Beachwood Place and Eton Place.

Surviving are his sons, P. Charles (Judie) Miller of Novelty and John E. (Judy) Miller of Bellevue; daughters, Janice Miller of Southlake Texas, Kathy (Randy) Mattson of Jordan Minn., Joanne (Jim) Collins of Suwanee, Ga., and Joyce (Richard) Burke of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and his brother, David (Marie) Miller of Solon.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Kathryn, in June, 2009; his parents, William and Florence (Raabe) Miller; sisters, Betty Miller and Jean McNutt; and brother, William F. Miller Jr.

The family will meet with friends 5-8 p.m. Monday in Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, 95 S. Franklin St., Chagrin Falls. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the funeral services at 11 a.m. in Advent Lutheran Church, 5525 Harper Road, Solon.
