Dawna I. Houske, 71, of Perkins Township, died Sunday, May 2, 2010, at her home.
She was born July 26, 1938, in Haverhill, Mass., an was an area resident for the past 13 years. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking, baking, and thought the world of her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Keith (Patty) Houske of Sandusky and John Houske of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Marjorie Hill of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; a brother, George Noyes of Pembroke, Mass.; and five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2000, and daughter, Dawna L. Mercier, in 1987.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, 1617 Milan Road, with Pastor David Flack officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron.
